ACDS is proud to announce that as of July 1st, Pierre Pilote, former Stetson University Head Coach (Division I) of 22 years and former member of the NCAA subcommittee for NCAA tennis, has joined ACDS full time as the Executive Director of Tennis Development. Pierre’s served as Stetson’s head coach since 1994, and over the course of his 22-year career, turned the Stetson men’s tennis team into one of the most successful programs at the University. During his tenure at Stetson, the men’s tennis team averaged close to 19 wins per season, resulting in a 394-134 career mark for Pilote.
Pierre adds tremendous value to ACDS tennis programs in China. ACDS is honored to have him join as the new Executive Director of Tennis and looks forward to developing junior tennis players into College-bound student-athletes, for years to come. On his new career direction, Pierre says,
“I am humbled by the trust that the ACDS (American College Development Services) team has placed in me by naming me Executive Director of Tennis for their global tennis programs”. “It’s a fabulous opportunity for me to work with a fantastic team of professional at ACDS. I will be able to help prepare young tennis players from around the world for their possible college tennis careers”.
After making the tough decision to leave his 22 year post Pierre said, “I want to thank the whole Stetson University community for being “my family” away from home for the past 22 years. I want to thank all of whom made me feel so comfortable over my career, I have been truly blessed to have been involved with such good people. The foundations of both tennis program is rock solid and I don’t have a single doubt that Coach Noblet will continue our proud tradition of successes”.
Christopher Nobet, former Associate Head Coach at Stetson University and new men’s tennis coach expressed his gratitude. “We will never be grateful enough for the dedication and commitment that Pierre showed to the tennis programs at Stetson University for the past 22 years. Many of us have called him a mentor, a friend, a teacher of the game, a colleague over the years.” Since hearing the news, former players of Pierre and graduates of Stetson have reached out to express their sentiments and well wishes. Marcus Andresen, Stetson Graduate 01’ wrote, “You can’t believe how grateful I am to you for bringing me to Stetson. Those 6 years will forever be amongst the best of my life. You gave me unprecedented support, values, encouragement and responsibilities. You were a mentor to me and improved my game on the court tremendously! I can’t thank you enough!”
As Executive Director of Tennis at ACDS, Pierre will be guiding student-athletes in China through their key development years so that they may be best prepared for, and excel on a College tennis team. Drawing from his experience and success as a 22 years head coach, Pierre looks to apply this insight to the development program of every ACDS student-athlete, providing them a development pathway not only to College tennis, but also to a more successful and fulfilled life.

Pierre will will remain based in Orlando, and will travel to China throughout the year for ACDS College Tennis Camps, a series of highly popular events held by ACDS in China to provide student-athletes with critical information, guidance and evaluations from College coaches. Beginning in 2016, Pierre will be leading the ACDS College Tennis Tour, which will provide opportunities for student-athletes to travel the US to train, play tournaments, visit College campuses and develop as student-athletes.
